Easy & Delicious Air Fryer Recipes
An air fryer is a small convection oven: a powerful fan moves hot air around the food so the outside browns and crisps while the inside stays juicy. That makes it ideal for weeknight chicken, salmon, kebabs, meatballs and falafel, and for wings and fries that come out crisp with a fraction of the oil you would use for frying.
Every recipe below lists the exact temperature, the cook time and the doneness check we use, so you get the same result whether you own a basket model or an oven-style air fryer.

Quick answer
Most air fryer recipes on Savour cook at 190-200°C (375-400°F): about 8-15 minutes for salmon, meatballs and boneless chicken, and 18-25 minutes for homemade fries and chicken wings. Preheat for 3-5 minutes, cook in a single layer, flip or shake halfway, and check chicken with a thermometer: it is done at 74°C (165°F).

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to preheat my air fryer?
Preheating for 3-5 minutes helps food start browning straight away and gives more even results, especially for chicken and salmon. Some models skip it automatically; if yours does, add about 2 minutes to the cook time.
What temperature should I use for air fryer chicken?
We cook most boneless chicken at 200°C (400°F) for 10-15 minutes, depending on the size of the pieces. Always check that the thickest piece reaches a safe internal temperature of 74°C (165°F).
Can I use oil in an air fryer?
Yes. A light coating of a high smoke point oil such as avocado or canola oil helps marinades and coatings brown. Brush or spray it on the food rather than pouring it into the basket.
Why is my air fryer food not crispy?
The usual cause is overcrowding. Food needs space for hot air to circulate, so cook in a single layer with small gaps and work in batches if needed. Patting food dry before seasoning also helps.
